Message to Moderator

Dear Moderator, This blog will display my progress in the process of creating a magazine based on music. My audience was mainly focused towards older males due to the era the magazine is set in. My magazine is based on a vintage style and involves classic artists, along with fresh and current stories about them. This magazine is focused on appealing to a niche audience as the music is not current and only appeals to specific generations. I hope you enjoy navigating your way through my work. This is my final design, i have added the blended special edition into the guitar, as well as changing the outline of 'Bob Dylan' to gold, as well as some other minor changes.

Contents first draft

Early draft with temp photos. Possibly changing the diagonal approach to central as well as needing to get photos to fill in for the temps.

Further progress Front Cover

Further improved. Kept headings away from guitar, eg. took away hendrix from the top right. Left it purely focused on the Bob Dylan article. New gold outline on the 'VINT' to have a classic feel title with the gold effect. Put title higher up to not be on models facial features.However still slightly blended as the photo is designed to be taken from 1958, not specifically for the magazine so is not supposed to look entirely set up, more natural and classic style. White lines at top made slightly faded to make it look worn, vintage.

Great to see a draft here. I think you've nailed the genre and house style but as discussed. think about the type of image/shot type for a front cover- convention and promotion normally lends itself to a mid-close up. Upload any additional planning soon.
